Welcome to Pack 261
Cub Scouting is an exciting adventure for boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade.
At Pack 261, your child will make new friends, build character, learn life skills, and most of all—have fun. We invite your family to become part of our Cub Scout community here in Castle Rock, CO.
Who Can Join?
Cub Scouting is open to boys and girls from Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Youth are grouped into grade-based dens and meet regularly with trained adult leaders for activities, games, crafts, and outdoor adventures.
You can join at any grade—no prior experience needed!
What to Expect
• Weekly meetings during the school year (most Monday evenings)
• Special events like the Pinewood Derby, Family Campouts, and local hikes
• Fun, age-appropriate advancement and recognition
• A strong focus on family involvement and values
How to Join Pack 261

2. **Visit a Meeting**
Come see what we’re all about! Guests are always welcome at our regular Monday night meetings.
3. **Register Online**
We’ll help walk you through registration using the official Scouting America online system.
4. **Pay Dues**
The national registration fee is paid online during sign-up and is required annually.
Pack 261 also collects a small monthly due beginning after your first month with us. This helps cover badges, supplies, and local activities.
If cost is ever a concern, just let us know—scholarships are available.
